What is happening? I got unsubscribed from Dr. P again and had to confirm my subscription. During the same time, I was spammed by Substack with uninteresting authors and suggestions. Substack needs a good slapping.

Fantastic overview of the clash between East and West, Dr. P! Marco Polo exaggerated China’s greatness. He was the first fugazi in cultural studies. The Jesuits saw through the conman’s literary legacy. They understood it was Marco Polo, not China itself, that constructed that Western image of China. Western missions sought to remake China in their own image. Christianization wasn’t a big problem because China didn't have Religion. Mao was wrong. The Chinese didn’t suffer a century of humiliation, it was more like three. China had no History. Western historians gave it to them. The Chinese are resourceful but lack creativity. Hate them all you want, but stereotypes often hold the Truth. Can't wait to read the rest of The East West Dichotomy!

Yes, that is correct. I believe Grok and ChaGPT 4 can now independently create the history of China. No Chinese historian is needed. Best! T

I had an Instagram. It was my diary and memory box. I became obsessed over it for not having any followers. I posted for over 4 years and got 72 followers. Not again will I expose myself to the group hallucination scam.

The Jesuits laid the foundation for Christianity in China. When, and how, did the whole thing get hijacked by the Jews?

I remember him from history class. Gu Hongming wrote that famous essay in English. He describes European characteristics too. He studied in Edinburgh, like Dr. P! 😊🥢
