Stop punishing yourself, Dr. P. Stop blaming yourself for joining the Harvardian Cult.

Confucianism isn't even a religion. It is more like a moral philosophy. Before the Americans commercialized Christmas, Saint Nikolas was an impoverished, gaunt-looking pedophile and buddy of Dark Krampus.

Before the West arrived in China, she was rich and had never heard about Christianity. Afterwards, she was poor but had the Bible.

You bet! They are the order of dark sorcerers of wird magic. They transcribed China as a Christian nation in the making. Their making. Best! T

If the Chinese scholars are discriminating against their own students for not applying Western theories, then what's left to argue? Who said "the End of History", he had a point. For years I have been careful not to buy Christmas items, or any items really, that come from China. This shall be my contribution to the Shengren affair.

Expand full comment

Is it possible to buy Christmas items not made in China? China is, as noted, the manufacturing Christmas superpower.

That's why I don't trust the Chinese becoming the next world leader at anything. They have no foundation left to stand on.

Dear Dr. Pattberg. This is an important issue that deserves public attention. However, I fear that most Chinese “scholars” are useful idiots to the West, happy to accept Western terms for everything Chinese in order to get a vanity scholarship to Yale. The Chinese are like that, sorry. The Hong Kong Chinese are the biggest promoters of the Christianization of Chinese science. I studied China and had never heard of the Shengren until two years ago, and that was only because I had read Dr. Pattberg’s blog. The Chinese pride themselves on their thinkers Lao Tzu and Kong Tzu being equal to Christian saints. The English alphabet is the Latin script. All of China is Christianized. Amen.
