The Menticide Manual is one of the most interesting publications I have ever read. I feel like I have just received an explanation for everything I have watched play out on our psyche over the last 25-30 years.
Yes. The trick is to emotionally abuse customers into buying stuff that is intangible and worthless. Like in a big money ponzi scheme that is Supercell, Twitter, or that Chinese trophy wife.
Most third party providers on the Internet are like that. I love this "tier system" where you pay according to your means as "Standard", "Pro", "First Class", or "Super Special Moron", and then you are regularly shamed with emails telling you to please update, 40% off. And if you look long enough, the same software is also available for free, usually from the manufacturer. Big Tech want millions of free users for their free service and then earn their money in other ways. Like Youtube, X, Microsoft, Apple, OpenAI, etc.
Thanks, Guy. I also love it when people are forced to watch 3-minutes ads in order to get one free retry at a boss level that was programmed to take 24 attempts on average. And if you don't want to watch the mandatory ads, you can pay 12 gold coins instead. In-game currency is not real money, the law says. Like in a casino. You can "buy" more in-game currency though and pay with Visa or Paypal, haha. Save the children! Take care! T
Student debt is a biatsch! I never understood it. If you are really qualified, the multi-billion dollar universities in this country will actually pay you to join them. Like they pay for outstanding athletes or musical prodigies. If anybody tells you it costs $46k a year in study fees, you are being taken for a scam ride. If your parents fall for it, the school will never respect you and will come up with ever new pay-to-win educational schemes. The ponzi scheme schools are preying on dumb people and their desperate parents like this: Oh, I pay! I win! Let me pay more! 🤮
Yes. About 10% of the students are true assets. The rest is a liability --unless they pay a lot of money to you. Then, you are happy to admit the clueless masses into your wonderful college admission programs. This is how universities these days operate. There is an academic operation for the elites and a business operation for the hoi polloi to it. Never study for free for a university. The university has to pay you like any other research facility. Millions don't know this. So their "education" was worthless.
I wonder, when I review such situations and the people in them if there is any consciousness present at all. A society built upon grifting isn't really a society, it is merely a concoction that makes it safe for an animalistic drive to feast on whatever victims it can arrange.
Certainly, the essential predatory nature is hidden beneathe layers of deception, as the structure works actively for those allied to it. Central to the human banquet is an endless stream of clueless hopefuls to provide the meal.
Again, it strikes me as an unconcious, appetite driven phenomenon.
The beauty of it is the fashion whereby the life force itself is worshipped here, both as a sustenance lusted after, and a prize to be devoured. The irony is that all this crazed devouring just takes one farther and farther away from ultimate truth.
If that. It could be that "the truth" was long lost, if it ever was. There is just so much "interest" in the world that made arbitrary laws to benefit themselves and prevent others from ascending. Best! T
Indeed, there are plenty of people whose moral scope extends only to themselves, I would say a great majority. For them there is only serving themselves, and society is the means and the weapon for them to do this. It certainly doesn't help that so much in this life is purely situational, when it comes to good and evil, and everything in between.
Yet to leave it at this point is to merely worship the dance, which is what almost everyone does.
For myself, I look to nature. The situational morality of the natural world displays a tension and a dynamism that reveals a higher truth. In the human sphere, this is obscured intentionally by mountains of bullshit, but this doesn't mean the higher truth isn't there. I suppose the real question here is why obscure it?
Great writing. And this is real. Next time when you do something on American universities add in the Gujarati MBA student or the South Indian Brahmin full first rank from LKG to IIT who is now at MIT for PhD.
Can you help us with your excellent writing and investigative skills to look into the political status of Universities in this country? Do you know the State Boards evolved from colleges chartered by the British King and which were never nationalized by our Republican State governments? They were allowed to remain in their private status so as not to interfere with their contractual obligations and as a result of treaties that ended the Revolutionary war.
Hysterical! I had to laugh very loud! It actually takes 12.6 million years to level up all units in free version of "Clash Royale". In P2P version, even $10k in 560 Kings chests only gives you 560 random legendaries. Pros spent $5k each every time a new card comes out. It is getting out of control and is putting new players off. They basically have to empty their bank accounts.
Thanks, Hirochi! Tell me about it -I played Clash Royale for six years. Never paid a penny, and they sure let me feel the shame-him blame-him pain for always being such a sucker and freeloader in their System, haha! What can I say, it is about principle, right? I have a no gambling policy. If I want a game, I sure buy one. No cheap Internet schemes with in-game purchases or transactions though -never ever! But that is just me. T
I knew a person just like Mickey Money Wang. He was on trial for assault. The news went blank, but he was the talk on campus. He later returned to China. This is apparently what governments sometimes do. Not a friend of Chinese-style matchmaking either, but it is big business. The kids later attend Stanford. It's like this.
He was a real person, I just changed the names. He was on the "list", however, with so many spy stories, I believe he was just too intelligent, almost autistic and a firmer prodigy savant, that made me believe he just was abused by his Chinese-American inlaws, all crooks by the way, and falsely accuses because they wanted him extorted, miserable, and broke. Very tragic. I always say: Do not think immigration to another (enemy) country was that easy-peasy. And if you reek of money, well, they will get your money... Best! T
Superb writing, Dr. P! It was wonderfully brought to life - three little encounters with the gamer's devil. Your shortsties are so fresh and realistic. Roland, Dan, and Mickey Wong each have unique voices of character and very different game addiction. Highly recommend this reading! Cudos!

I love this techniques!
Genius
What am I even reading bro?
He‘s always been a paradox to me. Is he a German man in China, or a China in a German man?
Okay so book is 25 bucks, and now I have to figure out how to reduce the shipping costs.
The good stuff never comes in free. ;-)

Scary. But well done!
Thanks!

Ah, the explanation here becomes deep indeed.
